From our base in Hokkaido, we collaborate with local guides and exceptional places that reflect the calm and elegance of the north and celebrate the art of slow living.
Our approach follows the idea of slow travel — refined, unhurried, and deeply connected to place.
Todomatsu is a route design studio based in Hokkaido, Japan. We design journeys that connect people with landscapes, seasons, and the quiet rhythm of local life.
ABOUT US
OUR STORY
Our logo is inspired by the growth rings of a todomatsu tree — the natural record of time, where each ring marks a year, a season, a story.
todomatsu (トドマツ) — the Sakhalin fir — is one ofthe defining trees of Hokkaido’s northern forests. They have stood here for centuries, silent witnesses to snow, wind, and the stories of the Ainu people.
Rooted deep in cold soil, todomatsu trees endure every season — steadfast, quiet, and timeless.
Travel slowly. Feel deeply. Move with the land.
We believe travel should follow the rhythm of nature. Each route we create is shaped by seasons, landscapes, and local stories. Our journeys are not about rushing — they’re about connection.
